    IMPORTATION OF ILLEGAL PUPPIES FROM MEXICO TO THE UNITED STATES
       BEFORE YOU BUY A PUPPY- I was watching CNN on Thursday morning, May 18th, 2006 and they
     where talking about illegal importation of people, drugs etc. I could not believe what I was hearing about the
    illegal importation of puppies. I have heard so many heart breaking stories from people. When I watched this, it
    made me think that maybe this is why I have heard so many sad stories.
            These puppies where raised in Mexico, smuggled across the border and sold in the United States. The
     health of these puppies was extremely poor and the living condition of the animals in general was heart breaking.
    The puppies that where seized at the border where very sick and full of worms, no immunizations given and being
    sold at much too young an age some as young as 3 to 5 weeks of age.
            They interviewed families that had purchased them in the U.S. not knowing where they had come from. The
    Families that were interviewed were sad to find out that they were too sick to live and died within days or had to
    be put down, some living with health problems. The families were heart broken from the loss of their new puppies
    and nothing to show for their hard-earned money. Lots and lots of Vet. bills though. I'm telling you this to inform
    you of this situation. Be sure to buy a puppy that has a Health Guarantee  with registration paper even if you do
    not care about sending them in or having them. Buy from a real breeder that will stand behind that breeding and
    someone that has a good knowledge of your puppies parents. Be cautious of puppy mills and pet stores, so that
    your investment is protected and your family is not heart broken too.
