MALES vs. FEMALES
COPPER CANYON COCKER'S
MALES vs. FEMALES
I have heard many people say that female Cocker Spaniels are a lot sweeter than
male Cocker spaniels and make better family pets. So, I feel it is my duty to let
everyone know my personal experiences. I have grown up with male Cocker
Spaniels my whole life, and that is very far from the truth. They all have their own
personalities, and each is unique in its own way.
I have found that male Cocker Spaniels are more affectionate and loving. They are
more outgoing and sure of themselves, always showing a sense of confidence.
They show little moodiness and are less prone to emotional swings. A male
Cocker Spaniel is always eager to please his owner. He takes very quickly to
children and is more accepting of other pets. You can rely on the male to be your
best friend and most loyal companion in any situation.
The female Cocker Spaniels tend to sit back and watch, and if things are not as
they like, they tend to pout. The female Cocker Spaniel has to be QUEEN or BOSS.
If she doesn't like something, she will let everyone know. A female Cocker Spaniel
tends to be a lot moodier than the male Cocker Spaniel.
Another thing to consider is the cost of neutering, vs. spaying. Neutering is
considered to be an easier procedure with a quicker recovery time. Spaying a
female Cocker Spaniel is a little more extensive, and more in cost and recovery
time.
These are just a few thoughts on the subject. Keep an open mind when selecting
your puppy. Don't close the door on a puppy because of a myth that you may
think is true, because you may miss out on the best companion of your life.
I have never had one hole dug up in my yard. I'm not sure if I'm just lucky or if it's
the breed, but I'm so happy about it.
